Mecca Masjid one of  the oldest mosques in Hyderabad . Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and Laad Bazaar are the nearest attaractions . construction was started by  Sultan Mohammed Qutub Shah, It got completed in 1694  after 77 years by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb .  Mecca Masjid is built of granites with beautyful interior crafting.
This  Masjid was built by 8000 workers . a largeblue water  pool doubles it beauty in its entrance .
75 feet above the ground the main prayer hall was built with  enough space to accommodate ten thousand people at once. it was said that this place used to accomodate the whole population of the lovcality during the prayer with it's five enormous halls. 

The Mecca Masjid is within their local tombs of the rulers of the dynasty Asaf Jahi. The courtyard of the mosque has a room that holds a few relics and ancient and sacred objects.


Mecca Masjid derives its name from the bricks used in its construction, which was brought from the holy city of Mecca.
Mecca Masjid is open daily 08 am-12: 00 p.m. and 15: 00-20: 00.
